PSL: Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by two wickets

Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by two wickets in the 21st match of the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In the match between the two teams in Rawalpindi on Sunday, Islamabad United won the toss and decided to field first. Quetta Gladiators set Islamabad United a target of 180 runs to win.
Islamabad United started the innings chasing 180 runs when their first wicket fell for zero. Rehmanullah Garbaz was dismissed lbw by Naseem Shah. After him, Alex Hales was caught off Naveen-ul-Haq after scoring 12 runs. Shadab Khan had not even got a foothold on the crease and had scored only 8 runs when he was caught out by Iftikhar Ahmed.
Colin Munro played brilliant innings of 63 runs off 29
balls with the help of four sixes and five fours after which he was caught out by Mohammad Nawaz.
Mubasher Khan was caught out by Umeed Asif after scoring five runs. Asif Ali also failed to show any performance and was bowled by Muhammad Nawaz for six runs.
Azam Khan was caught out by Umeed Asif after scoring 35 runs off 25 balls.
Earlier, if we talk about the batting of Quetta Gladiators, the start of the team was disappointing. After him, Hasan Ali scored a run and returned to the pavilion.
In the beginning, Quetta lost four wickets for 17 runs.
After losing early wickets, Muhammad Nawaz and Najeebullah Zadran formed a partnership of 104 runs off 64 balls.
Quetta Gladiators' fifth wicket fell for 121 runs when Muhammad Nawaz was caught out by Mubasher Khan off Fazal Haq Farooqui.
Gladiators got another cameo at the end of the innings when Umar Akmal scored 43 off 14 balls with five sixes and two fours to strengthen the team's position.
On behalf of Quetta Gladiators, Najeebullah Zadran scored 59 runs, Mohammad Nawaz scored 52 runs and Umar Akmal scored 43 runs.
While bowling for Islamabad United, Fazal Haq Farooqui dismissed three, Faheem Ashraf two and Ruman Raees one.
