 Punjab government's refusal to give Rs 50 crore for PSL security

The Punjab government has refused to give Rs 50 crore from the exchequer for the security of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

PCB has been informed about this decision in the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet chaired by caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.

According to sources, the Punjab government has made it clear to the PCB that the Punjab government will make arrangements only when the PCB pays Rs 25 crore.

According to the sources, the stand was adopted in the cabinet that the Punjab government has so far invested Rs 45 crore on the arrangements for the PSL matches.

It should be noted that the PCB has said that if the Punjab government does not withdraw the demand to pay the expenses, the PSL matches scheduled in Lahore and Pindi will be held in Karachi.
